Ayutthaya’s historical park is on the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This park is your main reason for visiting the city. Take a look at the various temples including Wat Phra Mahathat. These temples were built in 1384. Although the Burmese destroyed the main pagoda, the remnants of the complex are still impressive. Also near, you will find the temples Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Mongkhon Bophit, Wat Na Phra Meru, Wat Thammikarat and What Ratburana. In this final ruin you will find bronze Buddha statues and gold objects of Thai princes. You can explore this part of the park on foot just fine.
