Discover one of the most fascinating areas of Bangkok; Chinatown. Have you experienced a culture shock when you first visited Bangkok? Then you’re guaranteed to have one in the largest Chinatown in the world.
This used to be one of the poorer areas of the city. Chinese immigrants settled here to work in Thailand, and the area has slowly become one of the main commercial areas. It’s always bustling with busy markets, gold shops, lottery vendors and restaurants. Especially at night, the neighbourhood really comes to life and the streets are crowded with people. The main street Thanon Yaowarat is then home to hundreds of food stalls and restaurants that build their little terrace outside.
