Your visit to New York is not complete without a picture with the Naked Cowboy! This famous street artist can be found almost daily showing his skills in the middle of Times Square. Dressed in cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, a white slip and guitar, he plays his songs while passers-by can be photographed with him for a small fee.
The real name of this artist is Robert John Burck, born in 1970. Since 1998, he acts as the Naked Cowboy and unless he is booked for another event, you can find him at lunchtime in the middle of the square.

Burck has managed to transform his famous character into a real industry. In addition to selling souvenirs and his music, he also make quite a bit on bookings. You can book him from 1000 – dollars for a brief guest appearance at your event and for 500, – dollar you can let him you on Times Square.
In 2009 the cowboy announced he was going to be a candidate for mayor of New York. A year later he told everybody he was even going as far as running for President. This did not last long though. So for now you can still mostly find him in the heart of New York.
