The 9 Streets

The 9 Streets are 9 quaint shopping streets in Amsterdam’s Canal Belt. They are located just behind the Royal Palace, between the canal and the Raadhuisstraat. Here you will find trendy clothing shops, unique boutiques, picturesque lunchrooms, monumental buildings and quaint antique shops in a piece of vibrant Amsterdam. Culture, trade and craft have been coming here for over 400 years combined. The nine streets between the Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht got their name only in the last century, in the 1990’s.
